Probiotics assist in the absorption of the nutrients you eat. It's that simple. ProBio is a non-dairy probiotic formulation produced from an all-natural source of beneficial microorganisms and Fructooligosaccharides (FOS) to support digestive tract health.
Each capsule contains 15 billion Bacillus Coagulans which is a strain of bacteria that is particularly robust. It’s able to withstand extreme environments, such as high levels of acid, in the stomach. This may make B. Coagulans particularly effective at alleviating stomach distress and other ailments. B. Coagulans is the same bacteria found in natural food sources such as sauerkraut, kimchi, and yogurt. It remains in its spore, dormant state until it becomes activated in the intestines and is generally recognized as safe (GRAS) status by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Fructooligosaccharides (FOS) are a good source of soluble, dietary fiber and are composed of short fructose chains. They are a type of carbohydrate called oligosaccharides. FOS occurs naturally in many plants, which include: Blue agave, Yacon root, Garlic, Onion, Leeks, Chicory root, Jerusalem artichokes, Asparagus, and Bananas.
FOS are subtly sweet and low-calorie. They are non-digestible, so they don’t have an effect on blood sugar levels and can travel intact through the small intestine to the colon (large intestine), where they support the growth of healthy bacteria in the digestive tract.
